“Duurzaam ontwikkelen” wordt steeds meer het bedrijfsmodel voor een veranderende wereld. Ook voor PGS Group is het allesbehalve een voorbijgaande trend. In tegendeel, “waar, met wie en hoe we iets produceren”, is voor ons essentieel.

We streven ernaar om zo 'dicht mogelijk bij huis' te produceren en vinden het geweldig wanneer onze materialen hergebruikt worden en een verder leven krijgen. Ook binnen onze eigen business processen verkleinen we onze voetafdruk door de levenscyclus van onze belangrijkste grondstof, het hout, te verlengen en het pas op het einde van zijn leven echt loslaten.

However, environmental responsibility is about more than that. It’s about ensuring our wood is sourced sustainably and lives a circular life.

We aim to help limit global warming to 1,5°C – significantly reducing our CO2 emissions. To achieve this, we set a target of reducing our emissions (scopes 1 and 2) by 45% by 2030 - compared to the 2021 baseline. We will create a roadmap considering any changes resulting from acquisitions, disinvestments, and internal growth, aiming to achieve global net-zero emissions by approximately 2050. Regarding emissions from the use of our products (scope 3), we will establish a transparent reporting model and develop a roadmap to reduce these emissions.
